Morphe- The Little Palette by Elena Gant

October 26, 2016

Hi guys! I recently purchased four, out of the five available, Morphe little palettes because I was rather excited to get my hands on them. The colours caught my eye because I love me some neutrals and warm tones, and these palettes only cost $9.99 a piece. I already own quite a few Morphe palettes, and I like them very much, so I was very eager to add these to my collection.

The Little Palettes offered on Morphe's site:
Copper Popper
Awesome Blossom
Coffee Toffee
Coca Mocha
Mama Drama
(Mama Drama was the only palette I did not purchase because all 8 shadows were cool toned & I do not personally find cool toned shadows flattering on my skin tone, hence me never really reaching for such shadows.)

Below I have included pictures of all 4 palettes purchased, before and after having swatched them; I have also included swatches on myself (a medium skin tone), as well as on my sister (a deeper skin tone). I have also included photos from a makeup look I did using one of the palettes, at the very end of this post, and I did also go ahead and film the look for you guys.

Because I plan on getting this post up promptly, that "tutorial", along with my video review of the palettes, will not be up until later on this week (most likely this weekend). But as soon as those videos are posted on my channel, I will be sure to hop back on here and link them within this post. If you don't want to bother checking back periodically to see when these videos are finally linked, fear not, you can always subscribe to my Channel :), it's free and you will be notified as soon as the videos are up. If you rather not be held prisoner by Youtube's subscription services, then as always, if you click on the "Videos" tab right above (on this blog), it will take you straight to my channel and you'll be able to view the review and "tutorial/first impression" on these palettes, without having to worry about subscribing. Also, because I have gone ahead and filmed a review of these Little Palettes, I won't go too in depth on my thoughts, but I will go ahead and share my general findings and overall opinion; this will be included further down in the post. Now with all of that out of the way, please do keep on scrolling if you are interested in any of the aforementioned! :)

MY REVIEW

Awesome Blossom
Copper Popper
Coca Mocha
Coffee Toffee
ALL SHADOWS were swatched in the following order: beginning on the FIRST ROW of each palette (swatching shadows from LEFT TO RIGHT), then continuing on to the SECOND ROW (swatching shadows again, FROM LEFT TO RIGHT)! So from the top of the image, the first shadow on the top row of the palette is swatched first, then I worked my way down the row. Which means the 5th shadow swatched down the arm is the first shadow of the second row within each palette, and I worked my way down the row. (I hope I didn't confuse you :/ )

Coffee Toffee
Coca Mocha
Awesome Blossom
Copper Popper

Overall, I was quite disappointed with the quality of these shadows. I had high hopes because I love all my other palettes from Morphe, but these Little Palettes missed the mark for me. There are some shades that I think are quite beautiful scattered across all four palettes I purchased, Awesome Blossom containing quite a few of those in my opinion, but that alone is not enough to make me fall in love. The colour pay off is not consistent across the board and the shimmer shadows creased and practically wore away into nothing within no time (AND I WORE A PRIMER!). For further details, please keep an eye out for my review :). I'll have it linked as soon as it's up!

**UPDATE- Both videos have now been linked within this post!**

Also, don't forget to check back to see my video using one of The Little Palettes for the first time! :)
