Since I have long forsaken the days of using Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion as a leave-on spot treatment, I thought I ought to share my current "favourite" spot treatment with you all.
It should come as no surprise that products I, at one time or another, used regularly in my routine, are a thing of the past as I comb through my skincare cabinets, tossing products riddled with fragrance and other skin sensitizers. One such product happens to be the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.
Once labeled as somewhat of a "skincare favourite" of mine for treating active breakouts, MB's Drying Lotion has since made its way to my bin upon discovering a superior replacement- Kate Somerville's EradiKate Acne Treatment.
With a $9 difference separating the two, the EradiKate Acne Treatment is the priciest spot treatment I have purchased to-date, sitting comfortably at $26 a bottle. But that is $26 I would be happy to spend considering I get, what appears to be perhaps 2-3x more product that the $17 Drying Lotion that seems to hold less and less product with each passing year (even though both bottles hold 30ml or 1oz of total product, MB's is clearly more alcohol than actual treatment).
Now, upon first glance, both products' ingredient lists are quite similar, which may lead you to believe one is simply a cheaper alternative to a seemingly expensive bottle of pink powder in an alcohol bath, but in actuality, the concentration of one ingredient is what sets them apart.

Though simple, I also appreciate the fact that there is a "Do Not Shake" sticker on the cap of the EradiKate Acne Treatment bottle.
