Colourpop "No Filter" Collection + Flower Beauty Light Illusion Foundation | Swatches

Like many of you (maybe), I rushed to Colourpop's website the second I saw the No Filter Foundation had launched. I had already seen my fair share of reviews on the foundation, to know that I definitely wanted to give it a try. And because I have yet to try the No Filter Concealers, I thought, why not just give the whole "No Filter Complexion" range a try (well almost the whole line).

I picked up the No Filter Foundation in the shade 115 based on the "Match by Brand" feature. Going off of my Estee Lauder Double Wear match (3W2 Cashew) and my Maybelline Fit Me match (228 Soft Tan), Colourpop recommended the shade Medium Dark 115 in the No Filter Matte Foundation. Based on this selected shade, they also recommended Medium 28 (Warm) in the No Filter Concealer, Translucent in the No Filter Loose Powder, and Medium Dark in the No Filter Pressed Powder.

I ended up choosing the concealer in shade Medium 26 (Warm) instead of Medium 28 because I was referring to the swatches on Colourpop's website, and I figured Medium 26 would be a better shade for brightening up the under eye area/for highlighting the face. I assumed Medium 28 would have been too close to my skin tone, but now, having swatched everything on my skin, I think Medium 28 might still have been okay for me to use as a highlight shade.

Because I heard so many good things about the loose powder, I decided to pick up the shades Translucent and Banana. The No Filter Pressed Powder did not really capture my interest because I already have my go-to pressed powder and I probably would not ever really reach for the Colourpop one, so I just stuck to what I know I would use.

I did not included swatches of the No Filter Loose Powders because one is simply translucent and the other is a banana shade; both being self explanatory. Instead, in my review I will be sure to use each of them on either side of my face, to better demonstrate the difference between the two, on my skin tone.

I also went ahead and included swatches of another foundation I recently purchased after seeing Drew Barrymore all over my timeline. 

I've always heard tidbits here and there about Flower Beauty and their products, but I have never actually gone out and purchased anything. However, with the recent introduction of the Light Illusion Foundation and seeing how beautifully it applies and sits on the skin, I had to give it a try. 

Currently, their colour selection is quite terrible, there are only about 9 shades as far as I can tell, so it was a bit difficult trying to sort out what shade I would be. And the closest I could get to my skin tone was shade Sable (D1). The shade before D1 was Tawny (M4) and it was way too light for me, so I had to settle for Sable. 

With my swatch, I wanted to compare what Colourpop selected as my closest match, against my best match in the Light Illusion Foundation.
